A structured pathway for women rebuilding life after coercive control, trauma, loss
and major life transitions.

The Rebuilding Room™ supports women in the recovery phase —

making sense of what happened, rebuilding self-trust, strengthening boundaries, reconnecting with identity,

and creating a life that feels safer, steadier and more their own.

“ When you are ready, you can begin rebuilding beyond survival '“

Beyond crisis support

Many services provide essential support during crisis, including emergency safety planning, refuge services, police support, advocacy and immediate risk response.
The Rebuilding Room is different.
This is for the stage that can come after survival — when you may no longer be in immediate crisis, but you are still carrying the impact of what happened.

You might find yourself asking

Why do I still doubt myself?

Why do I feel lost even though I’m out?

How do I trust my own decisions again?

How do I rebuild boundaries without guilt?

Who am I now?

  • Coercive control

  • Domestic and family violence (FDV/DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV)

  • Trauma and adverse life experiences

  • Relationship breakdown

Who it is for

  • Emotional or psychological abuse

  • Narcissistic abuse

  • Grief and loss

  • Burnout or chronic stress

  • People pleasing, masking or self abandonment

  • Major life transitions

You do not need to be in immediate crisis to seek support. Many women begin this work months or years later.

Inspired by the philosophy of Kintsugi

The Rebuilding Room™ is connected to the broader Healing Arts
philosophy of repair, meaning-making and rebuilding.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold.
Rather than hiding the cracks, Kintsugi honours them as part of the
object’s story.

In the same way, recovery is not about erasing what happened. It is
about understanding your experiences, integrating them with care,
and rebuilding a life that feels steadier, safer and more your own..

How support is currently offered

The Rebuilding Room™ is currently offered through individual counselling at Healing Arts Psychotherapy and Counselling..
Additional resources, workshops and structured supports may be developed over time.

For now, you are welcome to contact Healing Arts to enquire about recovery support counselling or future Rebuilding Room updates.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The Rebuilding Room™ is not an emergency or crisis response service.
