About Healing Arts Psychotherapy & Counselling

Finding the right counsellor matters. Healing Arts Psychotherapy & Counselling is a trauma-informed practice that offers respectful, integrative support

for adults, adolescents and children aged 6+ in Perth and via Telehealth.

Healing Arts has a strong focus on DV/IPV, emotional abuse, coercive control, trauma recovery, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, autism and emotional regulation,

while also supporting grief, self-worth, relationship difficulties, life transitions and broader mental health concerns.

About Nerrelle Champion

My practice aims to provide a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where people feel seen, supported and empowered. I work in a neuroaffirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming way, tailoring therapy to the individual, their goals, their pace and their lived experience.

Alongside practical support for day-to-day coping, I also work with clients to explore underlying issues that may be contributing to distress. This supports greater insight, emotional regulation, deeper healing and longer-term change.

I hold a Master of Counselling and am registered with both the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Therapeutic approach

Healing Arts uses an integrative and trauma-informed framework drawing from established psychological approaches including:

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed strategies

  • Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT)

  • attachment-informed perspectives

  • psychodynamic approaches

  • somatic awareness

  • parts-based perspectives

  • strengths-based practice

  • creative and reflective approaches

This integrative approach allows therapy to remain flexible and responsive to each person’s needs while remaining grounded in evidence-informed practice.

Alongside practical strategies for day-to-day coping, therapy also explores deeper patterns, experiences and underlying issues that may contribute to distress.

The aim is to support both immediate coping and deeper healing, creating space for meaningful and longer-term change.

Sessions are available in person in Perth and via Telehealth. Support is also available for eligible self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

Professional standards

Healing Arts Psychotherapy & Counselling operates in accordance with the ethical guidelines and professional standards of both the

Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Ongoing professional development and clinical supervision are an important part of maintaining safe, ethical and effective practice.
